I worked with exceptional children for 17 years in the Mobile County Public School System as a Special Education Paraprofessional, I decided to return to school to pursue a degree in Special Education. Many of my colleagues were younger than I, however, I did not let this intimidate me, my goal was to stay focus and know that I can do all things through Christ that strengthen me. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Special Education at the University of South Alabama on December 10, 2005. In 2011, I received a Master of Education Degree in Special Education, from Grand Canyon University

My name is Sharon D. Scott I am the mother of five beautiful children. I have a lot to thank God for, as a single parent I supported my children throughout their education. They have all graduated from high school. Two finished college and land a good job in the medical field. My children have left home and started a family of their own.   I spend a lot of my time at work, arriving at 6:30am. and leaving at 5:30pm.

Teaching is what I do. My greatest reward is to see my students achieve academically. All students can learn, however they learn on different levels.  I have a special love for elderly people and young children.   My favorite colors are red, black and pink. I like to think on others when I am shopping. You only live life once.
